Our Story
In 2020 our founder Luyirika Ashiraf and Dr Matthew Johnsen started Matt Compassion Africa. Dr. Matthew Johnsen started stood by the side of Luyirika Ashiraf to fund and mobilize other sponsors to join matt compassion due to the great problems the impoverished people were experiencing.
The vision of MCA started in covid 19 pandemic period when Dr. Matthew Johnsen gave some money to his friend Ashiraf for his birthday and to help him with his pandemic life necessities. Ashiraf decided to use this money to help the starving people of his community kosovo bukoza Kampala slum. This act overwhelmed dr Matthew Johnsens heartland he advised him to think of starting something which can help his community and other impoverished people thus the birth of matt compassion Africa.
Ashiraf thought of the problems the impoverished are facing because he was one. These problems include lack of basic necessities, including health care, education and domestic violence. Through his experience and knowledge with the help of Dr. Matthew Johnsen matt compassion Africa was established to help the impoverished families communities not only in kosovo bukoza but Africa in general.
